The Bustronaut parked in rugged scenery during sunset

Travel with the Bustronaut

I converted an old coach into a warm, self-sufficient home on wheels. Together we head out on road trips filled with calm, nature, and creative adventure.

Bustronaut started as an idea, a dream... Travelling through Europe in an old touring coach, following my nose. I’ll admit it: Columbus was a huge inspiration.

On my 45th birthday I finally took the leap, bought my bus that very same day. After years of planning, stripping, and rebuilding, Bustronaut became a house, even a home. From 2026 on I’ll be on the road and you’re invited to join. I share every trip on YouTube, and if you want, you can come along in real life.

Bustronaut can stay off-grid for a long time. With 500 litres of water and 560 litres of diesel onboard, you get very far. Solar panels cover the roof so the dishwasher, oven, and even washing machine can run regularly. The wood stove keeps us warm when it’s freezing outside. You can tell...

This is no ordinary camper. It’s a tiny house on wheels, this is the Bustronaut.

These trips are on the calendar! Coming along?

Iceland

In spring the Bustronaut heads to volcanic Iceland: steam fields, lava deserts and fjords follow one another. We soak in hot springs, scan the sky for lingering northern lights and drive along dramatic coastlines. A small group, plenty of time outside, and a focus on calm, photography and stories on the road. We cook local food together, listen to sagas and sleep in a cosy hideaway. More info.

Puglia - Italy

Autumn in Puglia means sun-drenched coasts, whitewashed towns and trulli among ancient olive trees. We taste local wines, cook orecchiette together and swim in clear water tucked inside secret coves. The Bustronaut rolls slowly, giving space for creativity, photography and la dolce vita, comfortable nights, shared stories and baroque squares to explore. More info.
